God gave us a life worth message, something that is a backbone of our life at all. The message is full of love, compassion and wish for all of us to be happy and prosperous under God. There is only one condition: Obey the Lord and His Word, the Bible, examine all your thoughts, words and deeds through this message:
“…Be careful to obey all the Law (the Bible - m. r.)…, do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful where ever you go. Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; mediate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.” Joshua 1:7-8
But, I was asking myself, why we should accept the Bible as true God’s Word? Simply said: Why should it be our life guide and life backbone? Is it really a Word of God or it was written by men only?
The answers of all these questions can only be found in the Bible itself and in the messages that are content in it and are confirmed through the time.
“In the past God spoke to our fore-fathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his son (Jesus Christ – m. r.)” Hebrews 1:1-2
This means that in the ancient times, described in the Old Testament some people were chosen by God and they had been given the power to communicate with the Lord through the Spirit of God. And fore after, as it is described in the New Testament, Jesus gave to all of us a miraculous opportunity to communicate with him through the same Holy Spirit. The presence of God’s Spirit was obvious at the time of writing the Old and the New Testaments, and proof for this is its consistency, fulfilled prophecies foreseen in ancient times up to now, complete preciseness of predictions from 700 (seven hundreds) years Before Christ (BC) with the events marked in the times of the New Testament. An undisputable proof is the overwhelming 100% accuracy of Biblical prophecy. There are thousands of fulfilled prophecies including these about the life, death, and resurrection of Christ. For example, one of the many Old Testament Messianic prophecies fulfilled by Jesus can be read in Isaiah 53. It describes the life of Jesus Christ 700 years before it happened!
The Word of God was penned by inspiration from the Creator long before scientists stamped their approval on experimental findings. But mankind tends to look at things from a sceptical or scientific, secular perspective when the facts have been in the Bible all along. A few examples of this include:
• The Earth is round, not flat as it was once believed (Isaiah 40:22)
• Atmospheric circulation (Ecclesiastes 1:6)
• Field of Gravity (Job 26:7)
• Biological importance of blood to life (Leviticus 17:11)
In addition, there are statements consistent with Paleontology. For instance, several books in the Bible refer to dinosaurs. Job 40:15 and 41:1 speak of two such creatures. And there are numerous verses referring to dragons. Yet mistakenly, some have thought dinosaurs and men did not exist at the same time.
