“If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer” Mathew 21:22 (NIV)
Prayer is a form of words that you can say when you speak to God, giving thanks or asking for help. There is no specific order of the words in the prayer. The words should come out of pure heart. “The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks” Luke 6:45. All our words must be faithful and we should really believe in the Lord, that He is going to fulfill our requests and prayers, without any doubt or hesitation, but in full confidence to the almighty God. “Don’t be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God” Philippians 4:6(NIV)
We must be consistent and patient. “Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer” Romans 12:12(NIV)
Every one of us must learn to wait for an answer and to be double hearing in time of prayer, i.e. to hear carefully with both ears what God’s messages are. God will speak to you through the daily Bible readings as a quiet voice that comes out of the depths of your heart, or through the people around you, close friends or relatives who are under God’s authority, or maybe through certain events in your life.
But, I will repeat once again, we all must read the Bible on daily basis, we must practice faith in our Savior Jesus Christ through our thoughts, words and deeds “…devote yourselves to prayer” 1Corinthians 7:5(NIV) “And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests” Ephesians 6:18(NIV)
This means that there are no time limits for prayers. God says: “…on all occasions…” and also everywhere: “I want men everywhere to lift up holy hands in prayer, without anger or disputing” 1Thimoty 2:8(NIV) “I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercessions and thanksgiving to be made for everyone…” 1 Timothy 2:1(NIV)
The basis of all abovementioned is to confess your faith with your mouth, in prayer. Everyone should ask forgiveness from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, forgiveness for all our sins (we are all sinners, we are born in sinful nature) and by our free will to accept Jesus as the only Lord and Savior and to decide to sin no more.
Today can be the day when you will make the most important decision in your life. Jesus died for all of us, so that our sins could be forgiven and we could live forever in heaven, when this life is over.
“But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father (God m. r.) who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you” Mathew 6:6(NIV)
And the only thing you have to do is to pray the following simple prayer:
“God, I decided to surrender my life to you and from now on, to live according to your directions from the Bible. I ask you to forgive my sins. I believe in my heart, and confess with my lips, that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. Come into my heart, Jesus. Teach me how to understand Your Word and how to practice it in my everyday life through my thoughts, words and deeds. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen”
God bless you.
