Salvation is deliverance from evil, danger, or trouble; God’s gift, thorough Christ, for saving human souls, cleansed by the Holy blood of Jesus, shed on the Calvary cross. The Holy blood of our Lord and Savior is the basis for eternal life. Even in the Old Testament it is written about the importance of the blood for life. “For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one’s life” Leviticus 17:11
The teaching of Salvation is the cornerstone of the Christ's Church.
“Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee I wait all the day” Psalm 25:5 O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Psalm 95:1
All who trust the Lord Jesus as a Savior and all who confess that He is the almighty Lord will be saved. That was said in the Word of God. And it was proved through the decades with so much evidence that it is out of question to doubt it. “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ; Titus 2:11 And all flesh shall see the salvation of God. Luke 3:6
As soon as we accept Christ as our Lord and Savior by our free will, we become partners for the covenant with Jesus. “The Lord Jesus, on the night He was betrayed, took bread, and … after supper He took cup, saying: “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me” 1 Corinthians 11:23-15
The Lord shows us his grace and love through this priceless offer.
“Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved) Ephesians 2:5 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God” Ephesians2:8 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him Romans 5:8-11;6:15-18; “In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise” Ephesians 1:13-14
God chose us, not vice verse. We could not choose. “God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth” 2 Thessalonians 2:13-14 “Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.2 Corinthians 7:1
But, what does it mean in essence? What will happen when we are saved? We must know the meaning of the God’s prophecy about this. “Behold, I show you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality” 1 Corinthians 15:51-53
The promise about eternal life through salvation of our souls is defined in the book of Revelation. “…They lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years, and when the thousand years are expired. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged according to their works by the things which were written in the books. And the sea gave up the dead, who were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead, who were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Revelation 20:4-15
Having such promise in favor, we must not hesitate to take an advantage of it, to commit ourselves to learn about the way of living that will lead us to salvation trough the Holy blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus, through repentance of sins and through making a faithful covenant to sin no more and to live the life as it is recommended in the Word of God – the Bible.
